|
Instructors: Dan Tearpock
Course Length: 2 DAYS

Course Description
Significant investment decisions are made on the basis of geoscience interpretations and maps. Prospects are made to sell an idea. Those who make the investment decisions must be capable of distinguishing between an optimistic interpretation and one that is unrealistic or downright impossible. Your company's future depends on making the right decisions. Often, detailed evaluations must be conducted in a limited amount of time. This can be done successfully with a fundamental background to recognize a great prospect from one that is mediocre or impossible. Take the challenge. This course begins with a challenging budget presentation consisting of 10 to 20 exploration and development projects. Test and improve your evaluation skills by learning a variety of Quick Look Techniques and methods used to address various factors that can cause dryholes, unsuccessful workovers, the purchase of uneconomic fields or the rule of fields with unrecognized upside potential.
